The Good Friday morning service is followed by a now “traditional walk”
For 2010 Peter Hinchley arranged a round walk starting from Carlton Bank (Lord Stone Café) car park
The walk offered a great variety of scenery without being too strenuous. It took in Bilsdale West Moor and the adjacent glider station, Brian’s Pond, Raisdale Mill and Valley, and returned through Staindale.
A walk of around 5 miles
39 Walkers joined in. It was good to be with our extended church family.
Not only did we have family of Nunthorpe members but we were joined by friends and family from Marton and Stainton churches.
Although the weather was at times “cool” we managed to avoid rain. However, as one of the photos shows some found enough water!
It was a well organised, interesting and pleasant
Does he know his feet will get cold?
