Police Officers arrested two males on suspicion of committing a 2 in 1 burglary at Marton Moor Road on 4th September at 8.15pm. Entry to the home was through the back door and keys stolen, the keys were used to steal the car, which was later found at Nunthorpe shops. Police enquiries are ongoing.
Please ensure that doors and windows are securely locked and please keep house and car keys in a secure place. Do not leave keys in door locks or in places where they can be easily accessed.

Year to date figures (as at the end of April 2011) show that so far this year crime has decreased by 5.4%, which equates to 72 less crimes than during the same period last year. One in three burglaries however continue to be committed through insecure doors and windows. Please take a moment to check your property whether you are in or out to make sure no-one can get in unless you let them. Passing the message to friends, colleagues and neighbours is a simple way to help us continue to reduce burglary even further.
Police Officers were made aware of a walk in 2 in 1 burglary on Marton Moor Road on 26th July during night time hours. The intruders gained entry through an unlocked kitchen window and removed a television, keys and the car. Officers conducted enquiries and recovered these items and arrested three males on suspicion of this offence. Police enquiries are ongoing.
